I’ve long gravitated toward apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction but typically in a longer form. These stories, however, pack an emotional punch unique, in my opinion, to this shorter form. The stories launch you into the event, hold you fast, and linger long after the narrative comes to an end. It is one of the most powerful volumes of Fiction River we’ve published to date.
